10 Logic Pro X Tips You Need To Speed Up Your Workflow

In this video I go through 10 Logic Pro X tips that I have learned whilst making music as a professional record producer. I will dive deep into how you use the functions, shortcuts and tricks.

Arrangement markers allow you to quickly arrange a track by dragging markers that will move regions for you without losing automation, volumes, pans, and other settings.

Importing channel strips and settings from previous project files will allow you to recover the great channel strips and effects and plugins you have used before at the click of a button.

Flex Time Audio Quantizing will make your beats and recorded audio files sit in time with your project file.

Audio to Midi will help you to sing melodies, play guitars or bass into Logic Pro X and convert them to midi parts that you can then edit.

Folder Stacks allow you to tidy up your arrangement, by putting tracks into a folder. These can still be controlled for volume, meaning your automation levels won't change. Summing Stacks allow you to create your own unique synths, by grouping tracks together and allowing you to play them through your own midi controller.

The Freeze function is a great way to reduce the pressure on your CPU, so this is very useful for beat makers and producers that have slower computers.

Logic Remote is an APP you can use to control Logic Pro X, allowing you to record live instruments and vocals without being at your computer. Allowing cycle, record, step programming and many more functions.

Coping channel strip settings with just 2 shortcuts.

Setting up a third tool on your right click mouse enables even faster editing and programming.

Zooming into regions in multiple ways can improve productivity and reduce your time when editing audio and midi,, even in the piano roll edit!!
