The line "smile my boy, it's Sunrise" makes me feel that he is telling us not to cry for him, he is happy now.

Robin Williams is perfect as Roosevelt. He is my hero and inspiration. No matter how many times I hear Robin say, "Smile my boy, it's sunrise, " when I watch the movie, I burst out crying. He made such an impact on my life. My forever top favorite actor. I loved all the movies he played in.

"Smile my boy, it's sunrise"—watching this after his death makes me feel like Robin was talking to us, the audience, telling us not to cry, not to mourn for him. He's happy where he is now; he's at peace. I bawled my eyes out when Robin Williams said that final line.

Such a good reminder to keep looking forward to another day:
"I don't know what I'm doing for tomorrow."
"How exciting."

So much love for Robin Williams. It's very sad that he left this world the way he did. On the bright side, we can relive his precious moments in film history from when he was with us. I get emotional whenever I see Robin in any movie he's in; I loved all the movies he played in. I will forever hold this close to my heart, now and forever.

Robin Williams isn't dead. He's just in the jungle waiting for someone to roll a 5 or an 8. R.I.P. to the best and greatest comedian of all time. Gone but never forgotten. I still watch his films to this day. Out of all the celebs dying in that time period, Robin's affected me the most.

Robin Williams was so funny and an incredibly talented actor; there will never be another one like him. I grew up watching his movies; now he's in heaven making the angels laugh. He’s my hero and inspiration. God bless you, Robin Williams, you were truly a gift.

This scene brought me to tears when I saw it in the theaters. This wasn't Williams' last film before his passing, but it sure felt like it. It was as if we were really saying goodbye to him. Mr. Williams...thank you for giving us laughter, and inspiring this girl to be awkward and funny and embrace every minute it.

I'm sure the message wasn't intentional, but the way I took it after seeing it in theater (and yeah, it hit me hard), was that it seemed like he was telling us to remember what makes us smile.  And while he shouldn't (and certainly won't) be forgotten, the sunrise brings about a day of new possibilities.

There wasn't a dry eye in the theater when I watched this.

I've always felt that that "BULLY!" jumpscare was not just Teddy, but Robin Williams himself, going out with one last joke (In particular, the playful "Gotcha" right after it felt more like Williams himself than like Teddy). I wouldn't be surprised if Williams ad- libbed it for that very reason. And, even though it was nearly identical to the jumpscare they did in the first film, I still remember laughing so hard at it in the theaters.
I've never missed a deceased celebrity as much as I miss him.

"I have no idea what im gonna do tomorrow"
"How exciting"

That right there gave me a new perspective on life. The fact that you don't know what tomorrow holds isn't a bad thing. it's a good thing because you never know what amazing things could happen.

I miss you, Robin.
you are my favorite actor, my favorite comedian and my favorite person.
rest easy, My friend.
You've done your job.

RIP Robin Williams.

It is because of Robin Williams portrayal of Teddy Roosevelt I am who I am today. Because of his performance I wanted to learn more about Teddy and as a result I learned more about the presidents and the US history. Robin Williams is the reason why I am a history major.

The last line gets people and I totally see why but for me it's that quick jump scare and Robin saying "Gotcha" afterwards that gets me. It's like Robin knew he wanted one last joke before moving on and if it got you to laugh through the tears then I think that is what Robin would've wanted.

I cried in the theater both times. I own this film on DVD and still cry during this scene ( I actually have "Smile my boy, it's sunrise" tattooed on the inside of my upper right arm.) This scene strangely ended up being the perfect send off and perfect to how Robin was in real life. A heartful goodbye bringing forth tears, but then of course he makes us laugh to lighten the mood before saying farewell one last time.
