There's a bit of a plothole here. The Aliens landed on the coastlines using the water as a soft landing zone, but Moscow was mentioned in the trailer. Moscow's a landlocked city.

The explosions are great, but awful writing and every cliché in the book makes it very bad

Why are the trailers so awesome but the film is so awful!

The movie would have been a whole lot better if it wasn't military propaganda throughout the entire thing you barely ever saw the aliens because they were so quick or the scene would last 2 seconds and you would barely get a glimpse of them
