Being a 62 year old man, and a bit jaded by the losses in my life, I halted my search for new music. I discovered Kavinski by chance while sitting at a cafe watching the sunset over the ocean. It came just in time to entice me to reignite my search for new music and new groups. I thank you immensely!

I remember Kavinsky played at a local club here, this was over a decade ago.

Didn't catch the show because it was sold out, but we still went to the club (for a seperate event).
As I stood in line with my friends, he passed in the opposite direction carrying his gear, whistling.
We looked at each other, smiled and nodded.
That was it.

A long time ago now when my girlfriend suffered a miscarriage I would go driving in my old clapped out slammed mr2 and I'd zone out and listen to nightcall on repeat for hours while blasting the backroads alone. It made me feel something other than endless sadness at a time which felt so hopeless. I just finished Listening to Zenith, The "Part 2" to Nightcall for the first time after dropping my girlfriend and our 2 year old little girl off home and I had to head out to roam those old backroads one more time. No matter what you're going through, You're gonna make it.

Zenith = going home in the rain, looking out the window, reminding yourself that even though it doesn't feel that way right now maybe it's better to have failed and lost than to have ended up in a coffin
