There are more gun laws in place now then ever before in U.S history. This statistical increase began around the year 2008. So if there are more laws, why has gun violence ramped up? In the few states where open carry is legal and there are less gun laws.. there is less crime. How can we explain this? I can explain this in a single sentence that my father once said to me. "The dog only knows the boot as the criminal knows the piece of iron." In Lamens term he was saying the only way to stop something is by creating a reaction for the action.. Consequences.
