Timber Framed Barn Part 27 Braces And Roof Sheets

for the last few weeks I have been getting the roof sheets up with the help of a rented telehandler. It's almost done now, just the dormers and some details left to do. unfortunately my sd card corrupted and I lost the footage of installing the valleys but I did my best to explain how they work. Enjoy.

That is a nice detail the roof panel manufacturer has created to close the corrugation gap where the roof panel meets the sidewall. Clean look, tidy finishing solution and easy to install. I like it! 🌻
I would have waited to install the roof trim until the sidewall was sheathed or fascia installed, then capped the whole affair in one step as a drip edge.

These videos are so very interesting too me. Kris, has displayed a determination to build a homestead that will be off grid, large enough to supply him with all the comforts of living in a city enviorment totally off-grid. I have been watching him for several years, and have found he is very knowledgeable in all phases of renewable energy, building, growing crops, raising animals for consumption, etc.. Wow Kris, what a milestone getting the roof on! Congratulations. Now you'll be able to work under cover when it's "chucking it down!" 😉 By this fall you'll have it all dried in which will be so exciting. By next spring I imagine it will all be done and you'll be able to start thinking about building your house. I'm so proud of all you and Dot have accomplished on your homestead. You're an inspiration for my husband and I as we build our own homestead. It's really exciting!
