Forestry: Full Harvest (Feller Buncher, Hoe Chucker & Skidder)

This is footage from CB 306, a block harvested in the fall of 2020 at Alex Fraser Research Forest. This stand had large sections of mortality and a large component of the harvested timber was dead standing or wind throw.

In this footage you can see a feller buncher with a tilt system operating on steep terrain, a hoe chucker (note the lack of tilt system) recovering windthrow from a sensitive wet site and a skidder collecting timber moved out of the wet site with the hoe chucker.

All footage was taken with permission and can be used for research and teaching purposes.
