So up here in Canada, this is also an issue. Bell Media has an exclusive contract to provide phone services for inmates in provincial jails. They are expensive and often difficult to obtain... often inmates suffering from mental health issues or legal issues have a more difficult time contacting their support system or legal teams. This is the same company who created a day solely to help bring issues to mental health, called Bell Let's Talk Day. This is a load of crap - they profit both financially and from a PR perspective. It's gross.

I hear you advise people not to talk to cops. Can you expound on that?
How should people interact with police, and not be harmed for staying silent? Especially people of color. It seems that a black person is in danger with any interaction.

Liza darling!
I absolutely love what yo do,
I think the public’s perception on those that are in jail don’t deserve a piece of lint because they are all are convicted murderers, rapists and child molesters, etc. They are criminals and don’t deserve any respect as a human being. Only god fearing salt of the earth people get that respect as far as they are concerned.
What we need to do is to separate those that are wrongfully convicted and have been taken advantage of by the system because the system is broken.
You don’t fight fire with gasoline. You need to extinguish it and that is to get people involved so they can get a first hand look at the situation and how desperate it is that you see everyday. The average person doesn’t get to see that nor do they want to. A lot of people are like ostrich’s and stick their head in the sand at the first sight of trouble.
I can go on here but I won’t. That would be a convo for a p other day. Lol!
I really do appreciate everything you do. We live in a thankless society and I always give my appreciation to those who are willing to go that mile .
