Nothing more beautiful in baseball than a lefty hitting line drives to the opposite field...Tony Gwynn & Wade Boggs style

It’s unbelievable how people underestimate the importance of proper mechanics and head placement. People are often obsessed with queuing power instead of speed.

I know contact hitting is still technically a thing in major league baseball, but it's not what it used to be, and dudes hitting more bombs are cool but the fact that this man has become one of the most valuable hitters this year with just a contact swing and by just getting on base is pretty cool to me.

I been saying this for years, dude’s magical. Wish we never shipped him off for pitching, I’ve said that from the beginning

Reminds me of my favorite player growing up, Tony Gywnn!

Reminds me of young Altuve. He could just absolutely smack any pitch, and he always said he never thought about his hands. He said “only hips.”

Yankees front office would not approve citing numbers like oh his batting average on balls in play is too high unsustainable.

Or maybe he’s just really good.

This is why they still have Donaldson batting 5th and why their team obp is historically low.

Old school hitting the ball hard all over the field.

What length and weight bat does he use?

Don't overlook the fact that his goal is really to just put the ball in play. Easily the fewest K's out of all players with 200+ ABs, only 2 other players have <30
