Changing 1066FN Group 9 Ribbon on Silver Reed, Brother, Underwood 3 & 4 Bank, Hermes Typewriters

Hello! In this video I demonstrate how to change the 1066FN/Group 9 ribbon on a Silver Reed Silverette, this method will apply to some other typewriters of these brands: Silver Reed, Brother, Underwood 3 & 4 Bank, Hermes Typewriters and others.

how do you know which side the new ribbon is installed - does the full ribbon spool go on the left or right? (I don't have the original ribbon installed)

After following the instructions and changing the ribbon, the typewriter's ribbon carrier now doesn't get down when I type, ie I can't read what I'm typing... What have I done wrong?
