Man, what compares to those opening notes breaking the silence of an empty park. To me, it’s the sound of infinite possibilities

Reminds me when the merry go round breaks down and the music goes absolutely mental

My only reason to immediately build a merry-go-round was to hear these tunes.

This whole game made in Assembly, with 1% made in C. I can't even comprehend how they did that.

First silent, then placing the merry go around, then opening the merry go around, then opening the park, then listen in the guest entering and enjoying the small step you have made to an fully fledged park.

Planet Coaster now supports custom music and this is going on the Merry-Go-Round right now.

Roller coaster tycoon was quietly the best game of our childhood. May not have been the best selling game like many of Nintendo’s staples. It may haven’t gotten the attention it deserved with the ps1 hitting the market around the same time. I don’t go back to crash bandicoot or anything from the ps1 like I do this. I don’t play roller coaster tycoon world. That and planet coaster may very well be the games everyone from the golden era were dreaming of, sometimes things are better left untouched. We didn’t have social media but we printed pictures of our parks, or we brought our friends over and showed others our creations. You’d be surprised how competitive it was. We all tried long and hard to top each other’s top speed. It was nuts because there was no sandbox mode. We had to build an awesome park shovel in a ton of seed money, and demolish everything and build from there. I was never able to get a coaster faster than 112 on the original 5 maps they give you in the start however there’s a few maps towards the end where you can get it to around 138. It was a fun time. There will never be nothing like that ever again. Cheat codes were minimal here now they’re everywhere.

Updated tracklist, compiled from the original one and comments:
0:00 Bayrischer Ländler (trad)
2:38 Bella Bimba (trad)
3:41 The Blond Sailor (Preil, Leib & Parish)
4:58 Poet and Peasant, Overture (Franz von Suppé)
12:49 Tales from the Vienna Woods (Johann Strauss II)
19:25 ??? I could not find any Dvorák or Smetana composition, as suggested. Probably a folk tune.

Medley of Waltzes by Johann Strauss II:
22:04 Morning Journals
23:13 Die Fledermaus, Overture
23:28 Artist's Life
24:13 Vienna Blood
25:10 The Blue Danube

25:49 The Children of the Regiment (Julius Fučik)
28:54 Heykens' Serenade (Jonny Heykens)
31:50 Dornröschens Brautfahrt (Max Rhode)
36:15 La belle espagnole (Robert Vollstedt)

When I build a big park, I always make more than one merry-go-round so I can always hear this music.
