Just a little information about Kawasaki Disease. Most commonly occur in children (though infants below 5 month of age can make it harder to detect). It is the inflammation of coronary vessels with its most dangerous complication being coronary aneurysm (which is why patients get echo). Symptoms are remember via the pneumonic CRASH & Burn -> C (conjunctivitis or redness of the eye), R (rash), Adenopathy (enlarged lymph node), S (Strawberry red tongue), H (Hands and feet swelling) and Burn (fever for >5 days nonstop). Initial treatment is IVIG and aspirin (only case that a children ever gets aspirin). Refractory (non responsive) Kawasaki is treated with Remicade (brand name for infliximab) with a second dose of IVIG.

It's not easy seeing our babies in pain. As a parent it's traumatizing. Luckily my son is ok now, but had to take him to the emergency room about two years ago with some serious urine retention, and I am always keeping an eye on him. It just makes you super cautious. You guys are great parents keep taking care of you're babies the way you are. Prayers and positive thoughts for you and your family.
