The cult of Mithras - christianity and its origins

In this video we are going to talk about Constantine and the beginnings of the christian roman catholic church and how that came to be. Constantine was a roman emperor and was famous for instituting christianised ideologies as the state religion but was he truly converted himself? This is what we will cover in this video. Archeology and records allued to the fact that he was baptised after his death so lets get into the info about the cult of mithras!

The show Raised by Wolves has the cult of Mithras as the main religion and caused a holy war that forced exile from Earth. I'm assuming since we don't have a lot of detail they made a lot of it up. Was interesting to see though.

Your explanation is clear and you did some good research regarding the beliefs of Mithras and J. C. / Christianity! Unfortunately, you didn't have time to compared a lot of things they have in common: such as J.C./ Emmanuel's birth, Mithra's birth, both had been born through a virgin's mother, both had 12 disciples, both were persecuted, die for the truth and being Resurrected. Both been considered as divine being etc...

Like Christians, Mithras doesnt have a book, which clearly shows their is no similarity between the two...Christian Bible is what makes Christianity and its story powerful, while mithras didnt have any books.

The Virgin birth of Jesus, should be looked in Jewish context, while dishonesty is when you take Jesus out of Jewish context into pagan egyptian or near east myths...while the Earliest followers of Jesus were Jews, so to them Virigin birth would automatically have sensed into old testament prophesies in Isaiah chapter 7, but those who take Virgin birth out of Jewish context are beating their heads against a non existent wall

Mithras was beginning to develop in Roman empire during 2nd and mostly 3rd centuries....most of its temples are from 3rd century....while most of the theology and belief is based in 1st century...their is no evidence of Mithras in 1st century...only in later roman empire history does Mithras cult become prominent...while at the same time Christianity was become more popular...
