Monica tells Rachel this is the second time she has stolen her thunder. The first time was on Monica’s sweet sixteen when Rachel went to third base with Monica’s cousin, Charlie. Now Monica’s thunder is stolen again by Ross and Rachel kissing on her engagement night. Monica and Chandler are trying to have sex, but are constantly interrupted. Rachel and Monica get into a big argument which ends with Rachel storming out with Ross to go have revenge sex.

I always believed David Schwimmer was the best actor among the six, the sudden shift of body language, voice pattern & facial expression were physical comedy gems. It shocks me that he was nominated for an Emmy only once & that to during the S1. For him to make a character as irritating and patronising as Ross loveable is genius.

3. Phoebe absolutely fails to read the room and gets on her own thing
4. Chandler or Ross throwing one liners to diffuse the tension
5. Monica either actually trying to sort it out or straight up spitting facts.

I can relate to Monica. There are times when my friends annoyed me, but I don't address it b/c I didn't want to make a scene, but then it'd always be in the back of my mind a bit and bother me a little.

Their skills and professionalism grew and grew. Years after watching the show, the snippets still invoke lots of thoughts and feelings.
