This is the kata I was learning to do exam to get the brown belt when I practiced shorinji ryu in Brazil about 45years ago.... I loved this kata. But then I entered the university and had to stop training... It seems to be rare to see this version of this kata. This is the only vídeo I found of It in YouTube. Thank you for posting It.

This is Kasaba... Became a member in 2007, and got a background in Renshinkan... Mainland style, and not Okinawa Karatedo. In 2007 he was a Renshi 5th Dan in Renshinkan as I remember..

Wow, Sensei I much prefer this version than the one taught to me. I am a fan of the more traditional movements, I don't like the jumping and the flying spining heel kicks (tobi-ushiro geri). I've had fights and I'll never use a flying technique in the real world, its just not safe.

Thank you for sharing this ... and I hope that maybe you can do a series on the origins of Shorinji-Kempo. Because quite honestly, it isn't known for kata, it is more of a fighting system like Kyokushin.

Anyways, thank you again for your content. Your contribution is much appreciated.

Thanks for the upload! I was at this same seminar! Did you happen to get some footage of Anan-ku?
