I’m personally loving the chill, chaotic, realistic videos from people this season. And seeing the vodskall behind the scenes videos is part of that. I love the genuine interactions and just messing around. The planned stuff and building is great too but I mainly watch HC for the creators just having fun and enjoying themselves. “Unhinged” Iskall just seems like Iskall getting to have fun and hang out with his friends. I hope you all prioritize your mental health and keep doing what you love!

Unhinged is often used to describe someone who is being really chaotic - usually in a fun/enjoyable manner, but can be used with a negative connotation? In your (and fellow hermits) case, its meant in a very positive way 😁

I’m watching this before I watch either of Mumbo’s or Iskall’s End Busting videos, but it’s honestly so refreshing and nice to hear the hermits talking so honestly about things. I love this extra clips and VODs channel because it gives me more content to watch, it gives Iskall more revenue (when/if he enables monetisation on this channel) and it lets us viewers hear their honest thoughts and opinions.

I’ve wanted to be a YouTuber (Content Creator) since I discovered YouTube. ‘I can make money playing video games and doing the things I love!?’ but as I’ve grown older I’ve realised that it’s harder than just posting videos. But I’d still love to try and make it work someday. It’s so useful to hear YouTubers like Iskall talk about the process and behind the scenes stuff :).

Mumbo talking about not looking up things on his phone and just blindly guessing reminded me of a comedy sketch written by John Finnemore (who you may recognise as a writer brought on to help write Good Omens Season 2). Here is a transcript of that sketch for your viewing pleasure:

Woman 2: What? Is that true?

Woman 1: Yeah I think so.

Man 1: Name them.

Woman 1: Well I can’t name them. But it’s true, I read it.

Man 2: What, bigger than New York?

Man 3: New York? New York’s not the biggest city in the world.

Man 2: Well what is then?

Man 3: I don’t know, Delhi?

Man 1: It’s Tokyo.

Man 3: No, there’s no way Tokyo’s bigger than Delhi.

Man 1: No it is Tokyo. I looked it up on my phone. It’s Tokyo.

Woman 1: Oh.

Man 2: Oh alright.

Woman 2: Okay

*Suspenseful music*

Disembodied voice: And just like that, the conversation died! Died? No. Murdered! Another victim chalked up to phone in pubs. That’s why we at the campaign for real pub conversation say, “Not just pub quizzes. All pub chat should be conducted under conditions of artificial ignorance.”
Look at this chap. He was just about to pick somewhere really ridiculous but which sounded just about plausible to pretend he believed was the biggest city in the world. So that he could enjoy arguing that it might be. And everyone else could enjoy mocking him. Where would it have been?

Man 2: Havanna.

Disembodied voice: Havanna! What a brilliant stupid argument that would have been! All gone now. Gone the same way as a potential 40 minutes of fun the table next door could have had trying to work out how the ink in kindles works. Or the full hour that the two blokes at the bar would’ve enjoyed trying to remember Angela Lansbury’s name. So remember, think twice before you Google, you could be killing a chat!
