What does it really matter how long we've been a fan of the band? We're here now, and we love them. Love them with so much intensity people around don't even understand. Stop making love a competition, it completely detracts from the meaning of love itself. This is art, and it is beautiful. Dir en grey is the sound of being accepted, and being loved. So why is it all a contest? The members collectively come together to make something full of love, why can't we? Why can't we become one?

Saw this live on New Year's... it was fantastic and this video is great. They constantly evolve and refuse to stagnate and repeat themselves... even if it's not your style, you have to respect that they don't shrivel up and die because they keep growing in every song they create. This is the work of artists, not the corporate dollar. \m/

Dir en grey have to be the only band that can flip back and forth between their older more mellow stuff and their newer heavier stuff and still not lose fans. I mean so many bands have their fans shouting at them to go back to their roots and Dir en grey do it on a regular basis without being shouted at, it is great.
