i remember an IGN first video of no mans sky about 5 different planets in a system... we all know how that turned out. however i do have a lot of faith in this game, Mass Effect is my favorite franchise and to me this looks very good and interesting... cant wait

I've already accepted that the facial animations and lip syncing might not be all that good. They rarely are. We are still about 5 years off from that being commonplace. My primary concern is gameplay, innovation, fun, good characters and dialogue. I believe this game will be overall fantastic. Definitely not gonna let some trolls ruin it for

"Exploration was one of my favourite parts of the original mass effect." Yeah, about 20 rock planets, each with different colour rocks/sky, and the exact same geth Base, exact same enemy base, and a crashed satellite, so exciting.

I wish in games, exploration would mean more than walking around and shooting stuff. Some kind off scientific exploration would be awesome. A quest where you have to collect and examine probes, performing analysis, collecting research data from other cultures and their scientists, getting to the bottom off a problem caused by a natural phenomenon. Or explore a new way of travel by means of innovation, because you learned how to manipulate the space-time-continuum.

Okay, so of the seven habitable worlds, so far we've seen Voeld (ice planet), Kadara (rocky planet with the big mushrooms where Sloane hangs out), Eos (a desert), Elaaden (also a desert but with red trees and krogan), that glowy-glowy jungle, and Habitat 7 (floaty rock zone). So we've seen all the sandbox/mission worlds except one, unless Peebee's loyalty mission takes place there, in which case it's a lava world. We also have the explorable Nexus, aka Citadel 2.0.

Since OG Mass Effect had the most explorable space, I'm gonna compare it to Andromeda. Mass 1 had Eden Prime, Noveria, Therum, Ilos, Virmire, and Feros, plus the Citadel.

So it looks like Andromeda already has at least an equivalent amount of major story locations, possibly with one additional area, or several if it has a couple one-and-done locations like Mass 2. Thus, I am expecting this game to play a lot like a do-over of Mass 1, but with Mass 3's combat, some DAI elements, and jetpacks. Which is, actually, totally playable imho. Maybe not an A+ title, but still comparable to the original trilogy, provided the squadmates are as endearing as previous Bioware companions. Thankfully, Bioware has never made a game without at least one character I fell absolutely in love with, even if the rest of the game was trash.

Here's hoping the final product has more talking and shooting than just driving around.
