It’s worth it to note. To those who are not native to LA. Like Amber had mentioned. Downtown/Santee Alley. Is also next to Skid Row. Which is where a lot of homeless encampments are. As well as shelters. Not the most safe place to go. So just be careful. But Santee Alley is a great place to go for discounted, anything. Bring cash, and note you can haggle prices if you go. :)
