Reviewing the Xiaomi 15, one of the best compact phones of 2025 (and yes, there's only been a couple), boasting slick Leica camera tech and impressive power. I've been testing the Xiaomi 15 as my full-time smartphone this week, so here's how the gaming, battery life and camera experience holds up.

If you've got a big ol' sack of cash, check out my review of the Ultra model. If you haven't, no worries. Good news is, the regular Xiaomi 15 serves up a slick if slightly pared back camera setup. Plus you've got the same Snapdragon 8 Elite performance, so games run beautifully.

HyperOS isn't for everyone of course and the Xiaomi 15 can be a little buggy at times. I love the mini and sleek design too, while the display is an absolute stunner. It's a solid flagship smartphone with only a few wee weaknesses to keep it from excellence.

Switched from a Samsung s22 ultra to the Xiaomi 14. Don't regret it one bit. It's a perfect phone.

5:40 I have to interupt you here. The flicker free aspect is actually really important! A lot of people are actually PWM sensitive, which causes loads of people getting really tired and having headaches, but phone companies do not care. Great to see that Xiaomi is actually tackeling this problem. The last company that actually had a flicker free phone was Apple with the Iphone SE 2020 if I remember that correctly.

i finally bought this phone after looking for a new phone since last october. tbh, it's a really great phone for me! the size is definitely the best part. im tired of having a very big phone and this phone came at the right time. my only problem is while gaming, it's becoming a little bit warm, which i didn't really expect when i bought it back then. nevertheless, i'll just enjoy using it for the next 3-4 years, hopefully.

this is why i follow your review, a lot of reviewers skip over the problems of the OS.

i know for a fact Xiaomi's hyper OS is riddled with Bugs and bloat, i been using em for almost a decade.

also why I'm leaving them I can't deal with the software anymore, i was hoping this one would be different.

While I love my 14, I'm jealous of that huge battery jump and wish I could trade-in for a 15.

I held this at the store and I thought it felt very comfortable and compact enough to use single handed. I think I might even consider buying this one even though I'm not a big fan of Xiaomi (I like iOS😅). Very nice symmetrical thin bezels. And it's not a Samsung as a bonus.

Something thats almost never mentioned when reviewing displays is the color depth. This is a 12-bit panel capable of showing 68 billion colors. Samsung, Apple and Google are still stuck with ancient 8-bit panels with just 16 million colors.

I have xiaomi 13 which is very similar and it's a pleasant experience to use it! Perfect size and ferfect user interface!
