I'm glad she is speaking about her journey and what she went through. Love love love this album. Divorce and how it impacts the family especially the children is heart breaking.

Kelly went thru a traumatic experience when she was a kid because her dad basically walked out of her life and didnt try to be her Dad. I think that's where all this is stemming from for her. It's only natural to feel that way because Now she is experiencing the same once again, but in different shoes. She's basically standing outside the window and looking in, witnessing her kids experiencing the same feelings as she did when she was their age. Which is very heartbreaking, but as a kid she never understood why her dad left. Now that she is a witness, has dealt with the hardships of her marriage, she also sees what her Mom experienced and in that it gives her so many perspectives to relate to from all sides. Now she understands why she needed to divorce her husband. I have walked in these shoes as a kid, as a mother, and my moms. Music has always been my journal.
