Dala la la la, Dala la la
Needed for extended ranges
Dala la la la, Dala la la

Cut and strip, pre-tin and solder
Dala la, Dala la, Dala la
Daniel's demo is a wonder
Dala la la la, Dala la la!

(Feel free to add extended verses to suit.)

What a wonderful Christmas gift. My 2011 still has 11 bars on a 2015 battery, but when I change it out for a 40kWh, you know I'm going to be back here for a refresher.
Superb work...joyeux Noel!

Hi friend, I’m an auto technician and work with BMW/MINI, but I own a Nissan Leaf. Love you videos and in-depth descriptions will research more ways to improve my leaf or modify for efficiency.

Thanks again

Love the glide in drive feature of the can-bridge! It’s a great power saving benefit, and is fun to roller coaster around town! Thanks!

Thanks for your cool videos. Great solution to revive these older Leafs. I own a 2019 Ioniq EV and would like to add a CAN-connected box to enable remote start and other functions!

8:25 instead of sweating with big tools like mr. Dala there did, you could just rest the wire onto your cutting blade and gently roll it with your finger a bit on the blade, to cut through the insulation and then pull it off.
And hint for Dala, when you do use the tool - add additional pressure on the tool top clamping bit, so the insulation doesnt slide off the tool easily ;)
And if you are a beginner, dont use cutters for stripping :D This is just asking for trouble :D

I love this video, it’s very empowering. Might I mention learning a new word today “schnake “ :) I have been a master tech for a long time but I appreciate the details dealing with interior of dismantling.

Really nicely done Daniel.
Its really hard filming in tight places, and keeping a train of thought/script in your head, also camera angles, while doing the conversion as well.

OMG, I can see the arm chair experts Nikolaos and others are trolling already. I get a bit of that on "MBK upcycle", just say "thanks for feedback', and forget about them
If you have any doubts before this, Congratulations Daniel, you are now a youtuber

Now I had better stop watching youtube and do some filming myself.

Cheers MBK Upcycle and EV4ME

Very nice video, its very tempting to pick up an old leaf get a bigger battery along with your cam bridge, I would also put some big heat shrink tube over your new harness just for vibration chafing protection 👍

Next time if autostripper don't want to strip try to press on the top of fixing part (not cutting part) of the pliers by finger and strip. It helped me much times.

You made the video I nagged you for! Thanks and congrats on getting monetized man (watch out for mid-roll adds, Youtube will bug sometimes and drop them every 2 min in the video, which can turn people off) . I can't wait to install the two bridges I got from you, quick question: The CAN-bridges you sell, can you install them right out of the box and program them later? Or do they HAVE to be programmed by the purchaser before they can be installed? Thanks man, p.s. Hackaday did an article on you that poped up in my news feed. Your gettin some international news coverage :)

A real good enjoyable vid. You know it is good when you watch the whole thing and you do not even own a Leaf. Instead of cutting into the OBD 2 wiring, what about running the wire to the fuse box and using a fuse tap? The owner must love the new range. Could you make it a business upgrading old Leafs? Looks promising.

Thank you very much for all the work and information that you are sharing.
I have a newer leaf and need to connect the CAN bridge to the left of the steering wheel that you have showed in another video. I am uncertain which side of the cables in the car that goes to the battery, can you explain this?
I also like to ask if the 3D file for the case can be find for free or if it is your design, will consider sharing it?

Do you know if the wiring on a 2015 is the same as the wiring on the 2011 - 2013 you showed here? I am looking to do this setup with the 2 port you provided and want to make sure it is the same.
