Making a basic pike lure trace or leader

getting ready for the start of the unofficial pike season by making some wire lure traces or leaders

tools/ materials

30lb 7 strand coated s/steel wire
1.6mm crimps
large savage gear egg snaps
savage gear crimping pliers
wire cutters
medium sized barrel swivel

leaders normally 12" 300mm

id advise making your traces at least 50cm min, a big pike has a mouth like a bucket, a 30cm trace can get gulped (ive seen it happen) but they look expertly made 👍👍
