30lb 7 strand coated s/steel wire
1.6mm crimps
large savage gear egg snaps
savage gear crimping pliers
wire cutters
medium sized barrel swivel

leaders normally 12" 300mm

I like to make my spinner night crawler harnesses for walleye on cable like this seeing they inevitably get hit by pike sooner or later.

id advise making your traces at least 50cm min, a big pike has a mouth like a bucket, a 30cm trace can get gulped (ive seen it happen) but they look expertly made 👍👍
