Lets dive deeper into professional film photography. Why I use to do it, why I now simply dont have time, and everything else inbetween. Looking at work from my Bronica ETRSi and Mamiya RZ and RB professional film photography systems alongside my use of Kodak Ektar, Portra, and Ilford black and white photographic films.

An absolutely down to earth channel. No BS, no artsy-fartsy, just staight talk. Refreshing.

Yes, more on film, and more of the B&W cityscapes!

Would love to see more professional worlflow with a film camera! I interned for a professional portrait photographer who shot a lot on film as well! He shot on the Pentax 67 as well as a Hasselblad 500cm and ever since my world has changed! I shoot half digital and half on med format. I absolutely love shooting on film while on set!

Amen Amen Amen! Also, I too would love to see uploads where you share your film work. Also, let’s see some of your older digital jobs that have already been published. Thanks!

I first came across your "How your business failed" video and enjoyed it. I scrolled through, then came across this video. I've only been shooting film for one year but I'm in love with it. I highly appreciate your "bits" in this video. They resonate. Your insight, knowledge, philosophy, confidence, sense of humor. Keep it going. Thank you! Subscribed.

Love it. Please more film videos. I am an old geezer whose first camera was a Yashicamat 124g twin lens. I picked it up for the first time in years, intending to put a roll of film through it, and that 'feeling' of looking through the ground-glass waist level finder and winding the film on etc., is a tangible if illogical experience. I love my digital cameras; they reignited my love for photography, and I believe they have helped me improve because I shoot them more. But I cannot deny the 'experience' factor. I think your commercial work is artistic, by the way.
Kind regards from Australia. B

Amazing video! Most people don't understand why I still shoot film. It's a passion for me and that how I love to do my art/photos. I would love to see more videos about film on your channel. Have a good one

More videos of you talking about whatever is on your mind would be great. Film, processes/workflows, behind-the-scenes, moggy - all of it.

👍👍👍
I haven’t shot analog in almost 20 years... I can’t see myself doing it again, I have forgot all the tricks of developing, temperatures, different chemicals combinations, pushing and pulling, compensating for weather conditions whist shooting. If I had to use film again I would have to rely on a commercial lab to do it and since I forgot most of what I was doing I wouldn’t be able to give them accurate instructions.
Last Film I have developed for me was a Kodachrome 64, shot on January 2003 at dawn at Stonehenge at -16C, a full sunrise sequence, I will never forget, my breath was condensed and frozen on the back of the camera, I know I was compensating the exposure to allow the slower chemical reaction on the film for the low temperature, god knows what formula I used.... it must have been a good formula, I had the film developed in 2009 as For whatever reason it was lost in a box in the loft, however the transparencies came out perfectly exposed.

I second the requests for more film related videos! And thank you for your excellent videos to date. I've thoroughly enjoyed watching them and learned something too!

Great video. I own and operate a film processing lab in the U.S., and yes, film is still very much alive and well. If you're ever in the SF Bay Area in California, feel free to stop by and say hi.

Thank you for this. I still miss that I sold my Sinar and Hasselblad for practical reasons.

this video was a treat! I resonate with all of what you said. All my pro work is done with Digital, but there is something irrational but so satisfying to use film. I always have an old olympus XA on me. I still love shooting for fun and the process. great video

This is very inspiring. And I would love to see your Uncommercial works. I am an old-school photographer myself. But always have been a poor one. But sometimes I return back and look and get surprised with the results I got with rubish gear.

Great to hear you shoot film. I didn't know that. I do all my work on film. Always have. Shoot the odd wedding too using the Hasselblad. The only snag with using film for me is the cost, which makes me more expensive than Joe Bloggs around the corner.
