Version 2.0

Update Board:
• BETTER AUDIO (not loud! yay!)
• Added new sounds
• Added new systems
• Added 10X & 11

Sounds used (credit to original owners):

Thank you all so much for the support this video has gained over the past couple years. Here are some small corrections for the video:

Windows NT Workstation 4.0 ended support in 2004, not 2003.

Neptune was more often referred to as "Microsoft (Codename) Neptune" than just Windows Neptune.

I don't know why I included the dates for Beta Releases. I probably did it to show the development dates of those portions, but it could get confusing and make some people mistake those dates as actual support dates.

Pocket PC, Windows CE.net (CE 4.x) and Windows 10X do not use the correct sounds. Pocket PC doesn't use 2000 sounds, 10X's sound is just a WNR EOL/EOS sound, and the Windows CE lineup has it's own set of sounds.
(And yes, Home Server is corect. Home Server uses XP sounds.)

Funny enough, Media Center actually uses WNR sounds. The startup is the "Windows Code Name Garbaldi" startup by Glosswired and the shutdown is just a slowed version of the unofficial Longhorn shutdown.

And most importantly...
*YOU CAN STILL USE THESE SYSTEMS. THEY ARE NOT GONE!!*

Windows belongs to Microsoft.

Thank you for watching my videos! I love you all so much!! ❤️

Did you know that these OSes are still usable, they are just no longer updated by Microsoft?

7 was my entire life. Despite having "ended" support in 2020, it still got service update which is what made me happy. Despite being able to be upgraded to 10 today, it still bothers me every day. Windows 7, you will forever be within our hearts, even if you were released 13 years ago (which is crazy to think about btw!).

Trivia/fun facts:
0:29 Although most 3.1x services had been ended by Dec 2001, some WFW 3.11 versions had still been supported to November 2008, making the lifespan of the software around 15 years (around 18 if we count from 3.00's initial release.)

Server versions of Windows tend to have a longer lifespan on the market compared to commercial versions of Windows.. (although i could be wrong looking at 7 and XP's lifespans.)

The most recent version to end support was Server 2008 on January 9th, 2024 (7 days before I posted this comment.) which lasted an impressive almost 16 years of support.

bit of a long comment *BOO! nobody cares*

*THESE SYSTEMS ARE NOT DEAD YOU CAN STILL USE THEM*

For those of you who keep saying stuff like, "Please stop using these fake sounds!" or "Come on guys, you know these sounds aren't real!" - just know this:

These sounds were not made by Microsoft and I *AM NOT* claiming them as official sounds. So PLEASE stop telling me to not use fake sounds - as far as i'm aware I don't use any unless they are used on purpose.

(by the way I am not trying to be rude so I am sorry if I offended anyone with the entirety of this comment)

*I'm not done yet.*

Note: Windows 11 has not ended support yet. Version 21H2 of Windows 11 *specifically* is ending support in 2024.

*I'm not done.*

If you guys want to hear the sounds I used you can check the description.
Here are a few of the ones I used (extended):

*OKAY I'M FINALLY FINISHED*

I was born in the year 2000. When my parents got me a new computer for my 9th birthday (Nov 11), I was WAY too excited. I remember bragging to my friends that I used Windows 7, because their families computers ran XP. I used that computer for a while, I loved it. It was the best thing on planet earth at this point. When Windows 7 ended support in 2020, I didn’t really get to experience it, as this computer broke in 2018, and I got a new one, which no surprise ran Windows 10. Today, I want the Windows 7 days back.

I really like the BFDI-style design on these OS logos. Has not gained momentum yet, but has lots of potential.

Even if these are unofficial, they're SUPER convincing.

Also, the one at 11:31 sounds like a theme for when the universe decays into nothingness (this won't become severe until about 20 trillion years from now, but it'll go on until 10 to the hundredth power years from now).
