Upwork Updated Tutorial in 8 Minutes: The Basics for Freelancers

Learn how to search for jobs and navigate the new Upwork interface. Upwork recently updated its navigation tabs to "Find Work," "Deliver Work," and "Manage Finances". I haven't been on Upwork in many years and came to YouTube for answers. I am a freelance writer and have a client who wants me to do a sample writing that's paid. All correspondence so far has been through the Upwork messaging system. She also wants me to commit to an agreement for ghostwriting even though it's a sample. The writing sample criteria and agreement were attached (MS Word). So far it seems legit but is there anything else I need to look for before proceeding? By the way, your channel is amazing and greatly appreciated.

Jennifer, thank you very much for sharing this latest information about Upwork with us. I created my Upwork account 1 year ago and after much research and information gathering, I have selected my niche. I want to work on Upwork as a video editor. When I set up my account a year ago I mentioned "web developer" as my niche, I think yours is "voice-over artist". How can I change "web developer" to "video editing " ? Do I need to close my Upwork account to reset it again as a video editor, if so will I lose all my connectes I currently have?

When I hit the apply button I get the page asking me to verify my pone number. After I do, it says: "You attempted to change your PIN too many times." Can't gete any help on Upwork. Does anyone have a solution?
