Growing up in Eugene Oregon. A fan of the Ducks. Grows up going to all their games and happens to be good enough to play for his favorite team. Goes through 3 head coaches in 4 years at Oregon. 4-8 as a Freshmen and 12-2 a Pac 12 Championship and a Rose Bowl as a senior. A fan of the Chargers as a kid and gets drafted to them. You can't write a better story than that.

I love this kid I'm so happy that the Los Angeles Chargers selected Justin Herbert I was rooting for him in the draft I couldn't believe my eyes when we drafted him. now look at him he is one of the great quarterbacks of all time as a starting rookie get ready for the next several years with Justin Herbert #BOLTFAM⚡⚡

Its crazy how Herbert grew up as a Chargers fan and now he's their starting QB. And Burrow is an Ohio boy and now playing for an Ohio team with the Bengals. Both teams definitely drafted the right QBs for the future.

Us OR folks are so proud of this kid. We live through him bc like he said, NONE of this was expected. He’s very sincere and honest even at the combine. He was not even close to a blue chip. Loved playing different sports during their seasons and maybe getting a chance to go to college to play Div 1AA. No camps, one D1 offer, no hyping himself up on social media. He saw these NFL players like we do.
Ppl are always going to want more content but you won’t get it. He’s never changing. He doesn’t see himself more important than anyone else.
