Stanley Snodgrass (Bob Hope), a talentless aspiring song-and-dance man, gets canned from his gig in the chorus of a New Jersey-based vaudeville show, a vehicle for starlet Irene Bailey (Arlene Dahl). But when a crazed fan (Robert Strauss), determined to kill anyone cast opposite Irene, attacks her latest co-star, Irene's boyfriend, Harry (Fred Clark), casts the bumbling Snodgrass in the leading man's place. Stanley can't believe his luck -- until he finds out about the knife-wielding killer.

Oops ! Video is badly flawed : speech & images are unsynchronised, throughout the upload ! 😞
Can this synchronisation error be fixed ??
Such a shame to have this fault, as it's so distracting. Otherwise this is a wonderful film. I love the razzmatazz dance stagings, & particularly the circus scene !
