After 20 years of broadcast, the VH1 brand has sadly disappeared in Europe and the Middle East, except in Italy (where it lives on as a terrestrial channel). The channel was rebranded to MTV 00s at 5:00AM (GMT+2)/6:00AM (GMT+3).
The last song to be played before the rebrand was "Dani California" by Red Hot Chili Peppers. The first song to be played when the channel was rebranded to MTV 00s was "Can't Fight The Moonlight" by LeAnn Rimes.
The channel was based on a pop-up channel that was used to air on the defunct British music channel, MTV OMG, from May 29, 2020 to June 22, 2020.
R.I.P. VH1 Europe (2001-2021), you will be missed. :'(
