The Most Dangerous Game is a 1932 pre-Code adaptation of the 1924 short story of the same name by Richard Connell, the first film version of that story. The plot concerns a big game hunter on an island who hunts humans for sport. The film stars Joel McCrea, Leslie Banks, and King Kong leads Fay Wray and Robert Armstrong, and was made by a team including Ernest B. Schoedsack and Merian C. Cooper, the co-directors of King Kong (1933). The film was shot at night on the King Kong jungle sets.

Good film. The camera work and the music during the chase scene really made it enjoyable. Plus it's a David O. Selznick production, so you can't go wrong with that.

I must say, I rather like Martin. He seems a good man. A bit drunk perhaps, but really a fine fellow!

This movie is so stupid. First of all, the stuff the hunted guy did was dumb af. The bad guy's hunting skills were like some kid from scout camp, and he wasted a crap ton of time. Also, why on earth did good guy bring some woman who was obviously dead weight when he didn't have to? The bad guy said he wouldn't hurt her. Also, when he came into the door at the end (when the bad guy was playing piano) why did he alert him to his presence? Why didn't he just walk over and bash him in the head with that bar that he was holding. Also he killed the guy by stabbing him in the lower back with an arrow tip? What? That's like 30 mins in the ER and 6 stiches max. legit every 5 mins of this movie reset my standard for how dumb it could get. All they have to do is last 4 hours on a giant jungle island with this bozo hunting them after a 24 HOUR HEAD START? I would have jogged around the island a few times and headed down to the beach for some shut eye. So stupid.
