Totally agree that Brett is one of the more modern toughies. Great ballplayer, not so great person. Glad I got him IP on my 3000 hit ball years back.

I actually managed to get George Brett TTM around 1995 or 1996. He and his brothers owned a minor league baseball team and I wrote him there. Ten months later, I received my signed Royals issued team postcard. I guess I was lucky that day. I also have a signed 1979 Topps George Brett card that was signed IP in 1979. His autograph was very different then, especially the G.

had zero success in the 80s with brett ttm....but, a few years ago, a friend gave me a fully team signed ball from the '87 royals...love it, but bo jackson used a black pen, and it's REALLY faded...always use blue!

This makes me want to get a George Brett ball and Perez Steele sooner rather than later…

George Brett isn't really active on the show circuit. He's doing his first private signing soon for the first time in over 2 years but it's not cheap. $175 for cards and $300 for rookie cards.

I have a George Brett signed ball from an American League preseason or exhibition game in New Orleans, KC vs Yankees, in the early 80s when I was 11 or 12 years old, but it doesn't really look like most messy signatures I have seen. But I know it is authentic because I handed him the ball personally over the railing and he handed it right back to me after signed it. I may have the best looking signature of his ever, idk. My theory is he took his time to sign for a huge kid fan and that he was in a good mood. I would like to send you a pic of it and get your opinion. Signature is on an official American League ball that was a foul ball I caught off his bat even. Is a great memory from my childhood but everyone I show it too says it isn't authentic and is frustrating since I definitely know it is.

Just saw he has a signing at Waukesha SportsCards in May. His signature on a baseball starts at 200 bucks. (Sigh.) Those are NFL-type prices. :)

WOW never knew that Brett was tough. Seems he does not have many cert cards from Topps.

Is he the meanest HOF generally? I heard it’s love / hate with Reggie J
