Today, 20th March 2023, the Sun is very quiet. Looking like much lower than 24. We are in for a long cold spell.

What I find interesting about cycle 25, so far at least, sun spots seem to be firing off (CME) on the far side of the sun. When spots are facing earth the sun seems quiet even though some of these spots are very large. Very little in the way of coronal holes also. Just an observation and I may be off with this but I gnerally check the sun's action daily. I will be interesting to see how this plays out.

I saw Scotts Paper 2 years ago and was like 'okay, interesting, lets see'. Now I'm sure he's 100% right. Potential candidate for a nobel prize!
