Has there been any word on how far stem cell therapy for ALS patients has progressed? My mom's speech is gone and eating/swallowing is becoming difficult. She drools a lot at night. This is devastating for all of us.

i am one of the carrieries of this disease. In my family which is not a normal situation i have watched a brother, aunt, grandfather, great aunt die from ALS. I choose to be dna tested and i carry a malformed gene that can result in either getting ALS or passing it on. I have seen it and pray that maybe someday soon there will be somehting to help with this disease.
