We all use the Internet. But what is it? How big is it? How does it even work? Watch to find out.

The Internet -- if you’re reading this, or watching the video above, you’re using it. Nowadays, connecting to the Internet is as simple as opening a web browser, sometimes a little more complicated if you have to enter a Wi-Fi password. More than 4.5 billion people have access to the Internet, and it supports most of our daily personal and professional activities.

The Internet brings us email, social media, and movie streaming, but also less-desirable things like the dark web -- which facilitates cybercrime and terrorism. Currently, over 2.5 billion gigabytes of data flow through the Internet every day -- and, experts anticipate that by 2025, that number will reach 463 billion gigabytes daily.

What was the Internet like when you first started using it? Let us know in the comments and be sure to give this video a like.

So techtagret, I know what it is and how it works. The internet is a network of connecting computers and it works with packets and Ip address and the packets travel different routes and get sent to the right destination to be put back together, right?
