Hello! I made this fun, silly lil video to start a discussion about Game 0 lore (lowkey my game 0 fanfic)...
I hope it's at least entertaining and I anticipate seeing other perspectives- especially if I missed something or there are other interpretations of the texts!
Personally I DON'T think the Closet Diary is canon, but I wanted to give that perspective and had fun with that version~

Emil's Backstory: Per deduction 3. it is likely that Emil was sold to another family/nobles who racketeered the dogfighting, not Emil's biological father. (cr. @Salvatoree25)

Just to add a little something to Adamil, they met before the asylum as teenagers back when Emil was being forced to act as a homeless person for money and Ada gave him food after he father refused to help, and they fell in love shortly after realising this in the asylum and gave each other rings. Ada did try to give Emil a normal life at some point after running away from the asylum. Ada gave up her job to focus on Emil. She'd buy him treats to try, pick flowers with him behind the house and got him to talk to the local children to practice speaking and socialising.

I'm gonna ask fellow lore enthusiasts for their thoughts on this video. I rly enjoyed it!

I think this just proves that Helena was being experimented on to become the punisher, but it failed due to her good nature. She snapped, but not in the way that the game host wanted her to snap. We’ll probably get a hunter form of Helena, but it being based off of characters who did pass away (Mary(Bloody Queen) and Grace(Naiad) for example).

Actually Emil was sold from by his father because they couldn’t afford to have him so some guy that owned a dog fighting pit and made him act homeless was actually his guardian not his father

Galatea is in a straight-jacket dress and her eyes are pure black while everyone else has button eyes... I can't wait for Joseph to saunter in, standing 1 meter taller than everybody else with his cracked black and white face and monochrome body, and for literally no one to comment on it.

i feel like this is probably the most tragic game, mainly in terms of ada and rmil. its so sad that although they just got free from the asylum, emil ends up dying anyways.

I haven’t really paid attention to the lore/game since before Time of Reunion and I’m SO amazed at how organized things are now! It’s exciting that we’re getting glimpses of the game groups and even a bit of a timeline. Thanks for helping catch me up

maybe “punisher” implies that the attack is based on a sense of justice and vengeance? that would explain why gala and orpheus aren’t considered punishers as they didn’t kill for “just” reasons?

i just started playing idv a month or so ago and im so thankful for this video 😭trying to understand the manor games lore is confusing enough on its own, and with the way so many popular lore/theory-based channels heavily mischaracterize the characters in their explanation videos (and are often like. painfully ableist about disabled characters), it can feel almost impossible to find clear and interesting explanations like this one, , ,
