I cover and covered CC songs in my old band here in Austin texas. To this day I grace fans of CC when I go karaoke singing on the Austin scene. I had years of choir and University training that helped me reach those highs. I still can for the most part. I just sang Say Hello to Heaven at a fallen friends funeral.

Last year I revisited the grunge era that I dismissed in highschool. So a little late to the party. This meant a late mourning period. I dove in head first, grunge all day everyday. Music, docs, books. I felt sad for may of the "lost ones" of the 90's. I related so closely with lyrics and themes. Anyone shocked or "didn't see it coming" wasn't listening. Having suffered the same afflictions I empathized with drastic emotions, when unattended can lead to drastic actions often with split second decisions. When I hear Chris now I just shake my head. As a passionate singer myself I'm in awe of CCs talent and range. 2022-2023, solo, Soundgarden, Audioslave... CC everyday. Now it's hard for me to listen to him w/o being angry. I noticed my own depression returning and finally turned the channel! I'll work it back in; too many greats to study Chris Cornell IMO, the greatest 😢😡😤🤬
