Don't fall for the 'Federal Grant Scam'

A Valley woman said a caller promised her free government grant money but it was all a scam. (Monday, May 15, 2017)

Been contacted by the federal grant dept several times . They Always speak in a heavy Indian accent .

I did too. I paid $200 to them and never received anything. They told me I had to pay $700 the next time and I hung up that damn phone.

Thankfully, she didn't have the $450 to pay to them. But still sad that she lost the $150.

yup they just called me I don't even have 5.00 left to my name after paying rent and they wanted 200.00!! first of all of it was grant money it wouldn't cost anything I blocked the number

I know there are plenty honest working Indian people but sadly, if I hear an Indian accent, I immediately see red flags. So sorry to the millions of very good and honest Indian people around the world. These assholes make the Indian people look bad.

i got a call today from the same scammers. I researched the the scam then called the number back they gave me with my conformation number.. listened to their sales pitch, busted out laughing and told the scammers I already knew it was a scam and that I was reporting it to the authorities. I reported to to the Federal Trade Commission and added my number to the do not call registry. Hopefully these idiots get busted.

I remember I been scammed a while ago and it hurt me bad... I was so stupid! I tried to get my money back. But no use it's been 4 or 5 years ago and I had to forget about it and live my life. I can never get it back. 😔😔😔

I had one of these criminals call me. Because they are claiming to be federal employees that places the crime under the jurisdiction of Secret Service.
