The rubber bits in the cooling fins helps keep the noise down.

The wiring harness is a “run only” harness, no lighting/charging wires. The rubber insulators on the cylinder are to prevent fin breakage from vibrations. Matched with a Nibbi 22mm carb, this is a fantastic setup.

I love these little motors. I own several in many different configurations. There easy to work on and pretty cheap. I pick up the cheap Chinese Atv that won’t start and either fix or replace the motor and let the grand kids beat on it. Most come with the single forward speed with reverse whoever if you replace it with the three forward speed semi auto with reverse you have a whole different machine. Other than some mix matched parts they can run good and can last fairly long.

lifan engines just work. they're cheap and good enough. i find they do require regular valve adjustments and sometimes right out of the box, QC is there but they miss things, i like to take the covers off and pre check stator plate bolts, valve clearances and check the cam chain and the little plate near the sparkplug ( have found large metal shavings there) they will run forever if you don't treat them hard but mine live in the high rpm range and last a fairly long time before rings get worn. only big issue they do have is oil usage. i have noticed they're okay when low ish hours but once they start to become used they start using it. i had one get that bad it needed oil every 3 hours haha.
