Honestly, I have watched all comparisons of GoPro Hero 11 and Insta 360 X3 plus all the single camera tests and your videos about these cameras are the absolute best I could find!

the single lens quality might put it over the top for me. however, i do want to see what gopro has in store for their 'refresh' before i make the move.

It's great to see them improving. But it's still not good enough. 4k is better but not as good as GoPro. Audio is better but not nearly good enough as the main audio source.

The hero 10 footage you upload still looks cleaner. It’s better than the prior version, but still not as clean as the hero 10 IMHO.

I actually bought an X3 right after watching this clip. The helmet mount angel looks so immersive.

Normal mode had more detail and sharpness in the trail compared to HDR imo. Sky was definitely better in HDR but like...trail sky. Still seems like a cool camera! Also does the mount have some sort of breakaway feature in the event of a crash? Helmet mounted things can drastically lower the protection a helmet provides by making a focal point for pressure where the mount is that the helmet cannot redistribute.

That video quality looks excellent, I have the One R and am getting the hang of it. I think the footage coming out of it is brilliant, just the app struggles on my S22 Ultra and hates my gen 1 ipad pro 11. It's so much fun to play with the footage later and the effects are really cool too

Just watching in 1080 on a standard size iPad and it looks pretty darn good to me! At least it’s good enough for my vacation and home videos. Anyone who says otherwise obviously didn’t grow up with VHS! Anyways, I get so wrapped up in getting in the right spot at the right time, trying to record what’s happening, it ruins the moment for me. So one of the main reasons I’m picking up an X3 is so I can actually enjoy special moments while capturing them… and deal with the framing afterwards.

The HDR quality and the low light is really good, the one X2 was already great on stabilisation i don't see much difference on this point, also they have improved the sound quality although i wonder how the sound quality is with the invisible stick.

Honestly, I don't like the footage. I'd love to see this side by side with a Hero 10. The Insta looks jittery and distorted. Maybe the dynamic range is better, but it's all lost when the stabilization and distortion come into play. (But the 360 ultra-wide angle stuff looks pretty cool from an angle perspective).

Last weekend I had the chance to record my rides with a 360 camera (GoPro Max) in DuPont/Pisgah, NC. I've been playing with the footage using the GoPro FX Reframe plugin. I'm hooked.
