I lived in a town that was 75% LDS. When they would tell me they had a burning in their heart that told them that Jesus was answering them, I'd offer them a Tums. " That's heartburn, honey, lay off the greasy burgers. "

You and Mr Atheist need to finish the videos about applying the BITE model to the Mormon church, I've been looking forward to it for a while lol

I personally feel that intuition can be an invaluable source for good choices. My gut tells me not to listen to Mormon ideology, for example

I thought about a joke you could've made on April first a few days after it passed

It is a video saying "Is Duolingo a Cult" And just say "Yes" And that's it

The demonetization an hour after upload might mean you are being targeted by a group with reports. If they get enough people report a video shortly after upload I wouldn't be surprised if it automatically demonetized it. You also aren't like by choice like minded "individuals" so they could be behind this.

I don't know how to say this without sounding harsh but I love your anger in this vid; I think it makes your message much more effective

I was raised in among fundamentalists, who believed in signs and "feelings" as prof of god existence. The thing is i never got those feelings and never saw any signs, i felt like something must be wrong with me. It got to the point where i would tell myself something was a sign, just so i could fit in.

YouTube is a very odd cookie. Family friendly and content with the slightly edge both gets demonetized. There's a very fine line to have monetized videos nowdays.

Dear God, if the book of Mormon is true please have Donny Osmond show up at my house tomorrow at 11:30 am and tell me. Otherwise I will know it isn't. Amen.

I'm an ex-Mormon. They expect you to make decisions based on prayer and a feeling of confirmation described as a "burning in the breast." That's supposed to be the Holy ghost. I, being a natural skeptic, never knew how this would be different than just talking (or thinking) yourself into it! People do this all the time in many religions. Besides, they believe all sorts of improbable, bat-poop crazy things. I am not a fan of that epistemology. In fact, I went to non-theism because it appears religions are just collectives of magical thinkers.

I had a gut feeling this would be an enjoyable! I love the ads that are put with videos, some good, some funny, but it helps you by watching them along with your video content.

This was one of the last things that led to my deconversion. I was a missionary, and I talked to several different people about how they came to their religions, and they all described it the same exact way. The main one that got me thinking was a man that sought the truth, so they got down on their knees and asked God to lead them to the one true Christian Church. They described a good feeling and they felt guided to go to a specific church. But it wasn't the mormon church. This was a time when the Mormon church was already in that town (one of 3 churches) and there were missionaries there ready to preach to him. In the coming weeks, I tried to find a way to explain how someone who wanted the truth, and then dedicated themselves to preaching it would be led by "the spirit" to a completely different church. They relied on that feeling, and they were led to a lie that they became totally convinced was the truth, so how could I know that I wasn't in that same position. I then started studying the scriptures and church materials more thoroughly, looking for answers. All that did was lead me to see inconsistencies. I didn't want to admit that it was a lie, so I prayed and begged for weeks to receive a confirmation that it was true, but nothing. I finally came to a turning point where I said, "God, you know how bad I want this to be true, but I need some sort of confirmation. If I get that confirmation, I will commit my life to you, but if not, then I won't. I'm putting the decision in your hands." I was looking for anything, even the smallest feeling of comfort, but nothing. So then I went on as an Atheist Mormon missionary for the next 4 months before coming out.
I'm just glad I didn't have a feeling to latch onto, because then I might have still been mormon. I'm glad I now know about the unreliability of that as a way to tell truth. It has made my life so much better and more authentic.

This is a very good video explaining a point that I think people need to pay more attention to.
