In the electrical workshop I have my expensive signal generators, power supplies with current limiters, oscilloscopes and other quality measuring instruments. But at home I have these Aneng 618A, 620, 613 in my drawers and they are useful for quickly measuring a socket, battery or some power supply problem, etc. around the apartment, and the big display with backlight is also useful.

i have this exactly meter. and this video removes my doubt of it since i have no reference test gear to test it. i sub for that. keep it up. aneng is best low price brand. i hope the test on caps have at least 10, 000uF more values.

I think the unit is cool and does the trick. For the price it’s not bad at all.

To resolve the Auto issue, you move the ANENG 620A to the far left side of your bench and replace it with a Simpson 260 meter! ;-) On the serious side, there are indeed times that you just can't beat the analog meters. Especially for things like doing an IF alignment on a radio. Thanks for the review, appreciated it.

Hold the + and - buttonson the side at the same time and it will turn off auto mode

Good video. I generally like Aneng meters. I bought the 888s which you reviewed. Not this one though. The Auto feature isn't for me. For less than 20.00 USD you can get a Kaiweets which I think is a better meter.

this meter is really anoying with this auto mode, actually i think i don't like auto at all. 6000 counts and still a fail. On capacitor scale it shows 5.230 mF instead of 5230uF....and on that picoF capacitor was shown on nF scale with 0.091 nF insted of just showing 91.xx nF, another super annoying fail...

Clearly not for professional use, bc i would trow it out of the window with wrong scale and slow auto mode.
