I don't know if this is a trope, but can you recommend a historical romance book where the girl is not interested or doesn't believe in love, because of something that happened in her past, but then the guy begins to persue her and she begins to believe in love again. I love that kind of book on historical romance but usually it's always the guys, so i want a book where a girl is uninterested or doesn't believe in love.

AHH! I love a romance between two people of difference classes. The ones I've enjoyed are An Earl Like You by Caroline Linden ( a poor titled man courts an heiress because of her meddling father), The Lotus Palace by Jeannie Lin (a servant to a sex worker/entertainer marries into a titled family, this is set in China), and last but not least, When a Rogue Meets His Match by Elizabeth Hoyt (an untitled man has been in love with a titled woman who belongs to the family he works for).

I'll try to check out the ones you recommended—thanks in advance.

I adore all your historical romance videos, and I would be so down for a part II as class differences are one of my favorite tropes! You mentioned some of my favorites, though I do really need to read the new Lorraine Heath. A few other favorites off the top of my head are Again the Magic and Marrying Winterborne Lisa Kleypas, Bringing Down the Duke by Evie Dunmore, Baron by Joanna Shupe, Her Protector's Pleasure by Grace Callaway, A Kiss From a Rogue by Elisa Braden, and The Duke with the Dragon Tattoo by Kerrigan Byrne. :)

Love all of your historical romance recommendations! I always watch it when I'm in a mood to read another historical. I'm currently reading Ravished by Amanda Quick and I'm obsessed. I can't wait to read more!

The Leopard Prince by Elizabeth Hoyt, I believe follows this trope. Heroine is the wealthy one and hero is her employee (steward of her estate).

I just wanted to say thank you! I absolutely love that you explain and summarize every book quickly and it makes me want to read them even more, because some people take so long explaining or they do it very briefly. And because of all your recommendations I’ve stared read historical romance books again after like a year! So thank you❤️ From Saturday till now I’ve read around 15 romance books online that you have recommended! I also absolutely love Amanda Quick’s books.

thank you...I will check these out. I wrote a regency manuscript with this trope and I am having a terrible time trying to find current comparable titles for my query. I have been reading and reading but cannot find any that I can properly relate to my story. It is more difficult than writing the actual story!

I'm sure I've read a number of books with this trope. Off the top of my head, I can think of four I've enjoyed. In each one the hero is not titled or starts out as a member of the lower class, while the heroine is either titled or from a wealthy family.
November of the Heart by LaVyrle Spencer (This is set in the U.S.); The Weaver Takes a Wife by Sheri Cobb South; A Matter of Class by Mary Balogh; and By Arrangement by Madeline Hunter (This one is a medieval.)

These were great, I pretty much wrote all of them down to read! I also love An Offer From a Gentleman (Julia Quinn) and The Duchess Deal (Tessa Dare).

Thanks for another great historical romance videos! I want to read lots of fun holiday romances this December, so I would love to hear any recommendations you have :)

I just re-read "Night In Eden" by Candice Proctor and noticed that it was on your Goodread's to-read list. I think you would really enjoy it. It's set in Australia, the hero is a land owner and the heroine is shipped to Australia because she accidently killed her husband, so she's sent there through the English penal system. The hero needs a woman to nurse his infant son because his wife recently died, so he purchases the heroine (she recently lost a son, so she's able to nurse the little boy). So it's a class difference, plus he's considered her master. And there is a lot of pining because he wants her but she doesn't want to be considered a mistress or worse. I enjoyed it as much the second time as I did the first. Even though it was written in 1997, it holds up pretty well.

This video is right up my alley. 😀 Thank you! One of my fave tropes especially in historical romances. But I do admit I like it more when the guy is wealthy and the girl is poor. But willing to read the other way too. Did you know there’s prequel novellas to the Wild Wynchesters series? The Governess Gambit before The Duke Heist (free) and The Rake Mistake ($.99) before The Perks of Loving Wallflower. I hate a meddling mother in romances. lol One thing that I noticed about historical romances is that a lot of them aren’t part of Kindle Unlimited which would be awesome. So a lot I borrow from Libby to read. But some sound so good, I’m willing to buy on Amazon. Yes to another social class differences video. And would you be willing to do a historical romance video with books set during Christmas? I love reading Christmas romances in December. But I haven’t read too many historical ones.
