After two Class Champion seasons behind my engine in Karlo's number 59 Bugeye, The transmission was feeling a bit loose, and jumping out of third. Most of my serious engine bits come from MED Engineering in England, so I had suggested their dog-engagement gear set for the Sprite 'Ribcase' as the strongest available, but it was built by a shop up in Canada that specialized in preparing Miatas for racing.
Nothing against their work, but these things are so quirky, that 1000 Mazda boxes won't really help figure out all the subtle details. And it WAS still working!
I'll show you what I found, and how I made it better.
