In which I attempt to plot by Camp Nanowrimo book using the Storyclock workbook by Plot Devices!

I really enjoyed the storyclock - it made plotting feel more like a game, and idea of creating symmetrical plot points was great for brainstorming. I don't think I could have gone straight into it if I hadn't already done the Story Grid and Snowflake Method, though.

QUESTIONS FOR THE COMMENTS:
- Have you used the storyclock to plot your book? How did you go? What worked and what didn’t?
- Have you used any other plotting methods that worked? Let me know – I want to try them all!

Have you used the Storyclock to plot or revise your book? How did you go? What worked and what didn’t?
Do you have any hacks for this plotting method, or outlining hacks in general?

Thanks for walking through your experience. I'm new to the Storyclock method and needed another perspective. I haven't begun using the notebook or workbook for my own story, but I see how it's helpful to spot gaps and fill with previous or subsequent ideas and events.

I'm so glad you liked it! I love how you took a moment to create a quick outline before starting the circle. I picked up a few tips on using it for developing my story, so thank you! I'm looking forward to seeing how your revision clocks out! It's good to see you enjoying a method, too! Do you feel rejuvenated, now? And excited again?

Reminds me of 'The Plot Embryo' -- which is a simplification/modernization of the Heroes Journey* by Dan Harmon, but youtuber Rachel Stephen has some very comprehensive videos about it (the plot embryo) and how to use it or several stories. (she goes over fixing Brave and Fantastic Beasts to strengthen their stories)
[*which the story clock also seem to be based on]
The Plot Embryo definitely is useful for strengthening mirror points and middle sections, because you know that your character has to learn something, so you try to figure out what they have to learn and how.
