Great technique! I like how the guy cantilevered his body over a 10-15 foot drop, holding on by one arm so that he can manipulate the lever on the drill press that is also holding the entire load of the cut-off material.

It's called line drilling, but a wall saw would have done it in 1/10th of the time. Besides your lines are all over the place. A-Core could have had it done and gone.

This is actually much more common then you’d think. Given the thickness of the concrete, a regular diamond cutoff saw wouldn’t make it through. However, wall saw would be a lot better choice and safer. At the end of the day, once it is framed in you would probably never know…

I just want to confirm everyone else in the comment section is 100% correct! This must be one of the longest, hardest ways to use the wrong tool for a job! Concrete saw with hose pipe attached is just obvious.

Is this suppose to be cute? You do 3 cuts with a saw then finish off with a dragonfly saw. Jack hammer and throw it in the dumpster. Coring is for plumbing or conduit.
