River City Ransom is one of the greatest brawlers ever made. Flawless play control and crazy deep mechanics.

My top 5 would be 1. SMB 3 2. Ninja Gaiden 1 3. Guardian Legend (Yep, I like this game a lot better than Zelda)
4. Ducktales and 5. Batman.
I have a feeling that my comment won't get any thumbs up since I left off Zelda.

Castlevania 3 is such a good game I can't believe it's not talked about more It pretty much plays like the original but with extra stuff added and obviously a completely different level layout.

Playing it made me feel like I was playing a Castlevania game that was brand new but built on the NES hardware. Idk how to describe.

If you haven't checked Castlevania 3 out because people always talk about one two and four definitely pick it up.

One day, around age 30 or so, I was playing Super Mario Brothers 3 and I was bored with it. That's when I realized I could never go back to playing video games as a hobby again. If you can't enjoy that game, then there's no game you can enjoy. It is pretty much the best game someone could ever make. Fantastic level design. But now there are other things that I've moved on to. I watch wrestling a lot now. But if I'm ever watching a Bret Hart match and I'm bored with it, then I know it'll be time for a new hobby again.

mario 3 and OG legend of zelda for nes are my fav games from both franchises

Great video, but you need to swap out Castlevania III: Dracula' s Curse with Castlevania II: Simon's Quest and Super Mario Bros. 3 with Super Mario Bros. 2. The NES rules and Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse and Super Mario Bros. 3 are FANTASTIC games.

All these games are great!
I'm definitely on the Blades of Steel team though. Konami did such an excellent job with that game. Controls, music, graphics, even the mini game during halftime really made it special.

I personally feel that I can't do a top 5 it would have to be a top 10 because if I do a top 5 I feel like I'm leaving out too many good NES games .

Just picked up a NES recently. It was funny going into a store next to people buying PS5's and Xbox Series X. The young man at the counter didn't even know how to hook up the NES to test it before selling it to me (that places policy). Picked up the three mario games, balloon fight, and tetris to get started!

Castlevania 3 is amazing! Good call on all of those. Super Mario Brothers 3 is one of my all time favorite games for sure!

My top five would be Isolated Warrior, Mighty Final Fight, Bubble Bobble, Kickle Cubicle and Whomp Em. Obscure I know but I do also love the more mainstream NES games.

Good choices, although I personally wouldn't pick Ice Hockey as I'm not a huge fan of sports games usually.
