It’s weird how one person can have 86 melanomas removed and it not spread anywhere. But some people get one and it spreads absolutely everywhere.

My skin cancer is back again. More surgery, chemo and radiation. So tired and heartbroken. Doing this alone is the worse than having stage 4 skin cancer.

I know exactly how this woman feels I am covered with moles from head to toe, I have had so many removed that I lost count, I am very pale, cause I stay out of the sun, if I do go out I have to look like a ghost with the thick layer of sunscreen, please take care of your skin, and protect yourselves from the sun...

I was also a sun worshiper. Allday everyday . Now at 74 I am paying the price. Wrinkles, moles i never had, rough skin. I could go on about what the sun has done to my skin. I had beautiful soft skin now i am ashamed of myself. Yes my best friend is my dermatologist. I dont have melanoma but its like waiting for sonething always on alert. I wish young people could understand the damage they can cause to their body. I wish i had.

My uncle died yesterday from melanoma after suffering from it for a year. It started on his back, then spread to his bones, then to his brain 😭

I'm in my mid-70's. Had my first skin cancer removed over 40 years ago. Now in the multiple hundreds....
Tomorrow having my sixth Mohs surgery.
Tanning and sunburn is not a joke.
Don't Do It

Don’t think that as Black People we don’t get Melanoma we do we need to protect our skin as well as other people do I lost my mother to Melanoma so use your sun screen and coverups in the sun.

My dad died of melanoma. After removing the skin cancer, 4.5 years later his cancer had spread to many parts of his body.

I have researched this cancer as much as possible. There is something more going on with people getting melanoma especially young people. I am fair skinned, 58 years old, tanned most of my life, both in tanning beds and the sun. I've lived in Hawaii for 8 years and had a basal cell removed off my arm. I believe melanoma is genetic and possibly linked to diet. My family is all fair skinned and they tanned most of their lives and no skin cancer. Something more is at play with melonoma.
