The hobby needs affordable, well engineered and efficient radios that will allow the service to grow while making entry less expensive and intimidating.
Nice & thx

this HT fills my need for a rugged trail/prep VHF/UHF. Fits perfectly in my chest rig.

Lol I like how you put the bloopers at the end.

I saw the IC-T10 in the latest HRO catalog. The simplicity and IP67 are very intriguing. This could be a contender for serious trail use if the price point is sub $150.

This is a replacement for the Icom IC-T70A which was discontinued for sometime. The T70A used the superhet while this T10 uses direct conversion like the Baofengs. I hope this will have better front end filtering.

I was super excited until I found out it only has 208 memory channels. So, it's basically a slightly better FT-65 at 2.5 times the price.

Looks like iCom used most of the parts from their base line air and HT and made a ham radio. If they price it low enough this should be a great radio.

Yaesu did a similar thing where the FT-65 shares a lot of the parts with the FTA-250. It’s a great air band transceiver and the FT-65 keeps most of the same features.

Great video. I have an ICOM IC V86nand it's a great radio. So glad to hear that ICOM is coming out wit a duel band radio. I surely would like to get one if the price is right. I would have liked it to have a bnc connector like the V86. The V86 does have a 1500 mw speaker too. Thanks for letting us know about the ICOM IC T10.

You should recommend they make a tri band radio.

If that's a squelch knob and not a channel selector then I might get this. I miss the separate Volume and Squelch knobs we used to get on handhelds.

2:17 RAYNET is exactly what it says amateur radio emergency communication network. Translate to HAMerican: HAM radio emergency communication network aka ARES but UK version.

Just a heads up, you probably forgot, but the Yeasu VX-6r that I got a couple of years ago has 220mhz and is still in production I think.

This looks like a replacement for the iC-T70A which I have. Works well. Single band at a time. No channel name display. A little bulky in the hand with the battery attached.

I have used a V82 for years and love it. Will look at this radio when it gets here in the USA. Wish the VHF side was 7 wats.

Raynet from what I found is a British version of Races.

My IC-V86 is tried & true & still has a BNC antenna, there's only one thing I dislike about my VX6, no BNC. These two radios are rock solid, I'll be keeping them.

Reminds me of the old Yeasu FT270, with 440 added. That was a nice radio and this one looks solid too.

I've noticed on radios that I've looked up alot of them have a certain RX frequency range and a different TX frequency range. Does that mean I'll be able to listen on some frequencies but I can't transmit on them? I just looked up this radio and it's the same thing, the RX range looks great, right in the range I would want but I don't want to order it if I can't transmit on those channels aswell. There for logging roads that I go up so I can call my kms and hear what might be coming down at me.
