I went away for a couple of days and stayed in a hotel. I took Dwellings with me. I wish there was a portable version. The table in the room was so small I had to use a nightstand plus other things I could find. It was fun! Enjoy your vacation.

I would take “Legacy of Yu” with me ! A Euro style worker placement game in a small box, ideal for travelling. Designed as a solo only game, it has a lot of depth and one game plays in about 1 hour.

I like taking Maquis with me, it has so many different combos of missions and it is very small. Easy to set up and doesn’t require a ton of room. Thanks for the content!

You may be interested in Galdor’s Grip. A no-table-needed solo fantasy card game. Just 18 cards and no awkward card holding or shuffling. It’s only free PnP now but recently got picked up by a publisher.

Nice little list, i'll have a look on that Welcome to Reckoning, never heard of it and i like that Deadwood theme !

On my side for vacation and only little boxes (most of the time i take also a bigger box and inside that box i put some little ones ^^)

Little ones such as :

-The Game
-Sprawpolis
-Mow (if more that 4 people)
-Splendor Duel
-Jaipur
-Le murmure des feuilles or My city roll & write
-Alice's garden
-Cascadia
-Targui (that box can receive some of those games)
-Isle of cats explore and draw (same about the box)
-One or two deck and one, two quest for marvel champions

good list. i go solo camping and take a bunch of games with me to play in my teardrop camper of the picnic table at the campground. the last bunch I took with me were: Herbaceous, Floriferous, Dice Miner, Rusting Leaves, The Lost Expedition, Ramen - Ramen, Fleet the dice game and a roll/flip and write that i made up about a food truck.

Oh, could you do 10 solos that fit on a plane fold down table? Like the list, particularly shelf of opp idea and defo thumbs up for grove and splitting imperium to travel decks. Mr Cabbageheads Garden and Maquis always come with me + rotations of others.

Just ordered Pulp Invasion. The art looks fantastic to me, but the addition of dice and bits sealed my decision. Hoping it's as great as it looks.

Very cool Video, I really enjoyed your recommendations and storage tips! I have played some of the games you mentioned (Next Station London, Grove, Floriferous), they are all very good. I also have Rolling Realms with a few Promo packs on my pile of opportunity. Need to change that asap!
Did you notice that Pencil first games are publishing smaller travel editions for their most popular games? They look really tiny but still have all the content. I saw that Floriferous should come out next year as a mini edition 😀

Grove and Numsters I would take on the plane since they’re my games with the smallest footprint. And then the three small box games I’m most into at the moment are Skoventyr, Trailblazers, and Witchcraft! (which will replace Resist!)
