AC/DC performing live at Castle Donington, Donington, England, on Saturday, August 17, 1991, during the Monsters of Rock Festival leg of The Razor's Edge Tour.

Live at Donington is the DVD recording of the Australian rock band AC/DC‘s show at Donington Park on 17 August 1991, and it was the band's third Monsters of Rock festival. The two-hour show was performed before 72,500 spectators and included real cannons, the Hells Bell, an inflatable Rosie and an inflatable Angus. It was filmed in 35 mm Panavision and had 26 cameras that included one situated inside a helicopter.

Improved quality, best on Youtube, 50 fps conversion full version, VHS, Blu-Ray (DVD), Backtracks and Live album audio. Will go through every song explaining.

Setlist:

1 - Thunderstruck [1:10] (Great performance, full intro from live album and song from VHS, since is the version with least overdubs)

2 - Shoot to Thrill [6:37](VHS audio, with fewer overdubs than DVD, added the DVD Brian screams and claps during the breakdown)

3 - Back in Black [11:57] (Full intro from Live album, and VHS song with overdubs only in th chorus)

4 - Hell Ain’t a Bad Place to Be [16:20] (VHS version, fewer overdubs)

5 - Heatseeker [20:40] (DVD version, no overdubs, with background crowd, like on every following tracks that is from the DVD, since they deleted crowd for some reason, do not like it, doesn't feel live, VHS had overdubs)

6 - Fire Your Guns [24:12] (Live album full intro, VHS version, original solo)

7 - Jailbreak [27:38] (DVD version, no overdubs, VHS had overdubs)

8 - The Jack [47:18] (VHS audio, no overdubs)

9 - Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap [53:28] (Full intro from Backtracks, few to no overdubs)

10 - Moneytalks [58:16] (VHS version, a few overdubs)

11 - Hells Bells [1:02:22](DVD song, VHS intro and outro, since DVD version the Bell sound was deleted)

12 - High Voltage [1:08:17] (DVD version, no overdubs, with original "C'mon' after first chorus)

13 - Whole Lotta Rosie [1:17:27] (DVD version, no overdubs, VHS had overdubs)

1 - Thunderstruck (VHS was the right choice)
2 - Shoot To Thrill (Perfect mix with the Brian breakdown bit)
3 - Back In Black (Technically, the guitar tones you hear in the chorus are the original guitar tone and the main riff is overdub. You can hear it in STT as well. The intro has the original tone and then switches to the overdub)
4 - HAABPTB (VHS right choice)
5 - Heatseeker (Angus's rhythm track is overdubbed for the intro and switches over after Brian says "Here we go" to raw audio the rest of the time. Everything else is raw audio)
6 - Fire Your Guns (perfect needs no explanation. If only Brians voice wasn't overdubbed after the 2nd verse)
7 - Jailbreak (The DVD version actually has an overdubbed solo before the breakdown and the VHS version has the original. Also Mal is overdubbed for a lot of this track too, like the intro and some of the breakdown)
8 - The Jack (right choice)
9 - Dirty Deeds (Backtracks is the right choice, but like most of Donington Angus's rhythm track is an overdub)
10 - Moneytalks (DVD and VHS have same audio basically except DVD has a snip of Angus's raw audio during the last 10 seconds so technically DVD would have been a better choice)
11 - Hells Bells (Perfect although the entire 2nd verse is overdubbed on Brian)
12 - High Voltage (Brian singing "High" during the breakdown is overdubbed on DVD version on the last few of each time he goes through it, everything else is raw audio on that one. VHS has the raw "High"s so a mix of the 2 would be 100% raw audio)
13 - WLR (DVD version has the overdubbed breakdown solo, VHS is raw. If you can get the Rock Band Multitracks it has the raw audio for everything except the overdubbed breakdown. I actually did my own mix of this for a 100% raw audio version)
14 - YSMANL (VHS is the right choice. The intro and solos are the only point you actually hear the raw guitar audio for both Mal and Angus)
15 - TNT (VHS has the original backing vocals for the Oi's)
16 - LTBR (DVD audio is actually 100% raw audio for all sources, so would have been the better choice, minus they cut out just a bit of the breakdown before Angus gets up on the riser)
17 - HTH (DVD audio is again 100% raw audio, so would have been the better choice)
18 - FTATR (DVD audio is again 100% raw audio. They should have doctored up the Cannon shots to be beefier. Like in the Rock Band Multitracks or on No Bull)

I really don't know why they couldn't just do the whole show with the Raw audio. Even at the worst and the mess ups, it's fantastic. I pray that one day in the future someone can dig through the vaults and give us the complete just raw audio of this show like it should be.

A friend of mine couldnt go and offered me his ticket for £10 including coach travel. I bought it not knowing what I was in for. Black Crowes, Queensrych, Motley Crue, Metallica and then this....AC/DC. It was the first gig i ever went to, needless to say I was blown away. What an amazing gig. I came here to remember and try and spot myself :)

I am 23 years old, as someone who was born after this generation. I whole heartedly would do anything to be be born being able to experience this time of the world, times where so much simpler, music brought the world together. It’s an honor to be able to listen to it today, but man you mfs are lucky to see this shit live. I’d Fr cry

Scary aspect to this amazing concert is it's 32 years ago in 2023. It really makes you feel very old yet ACDC are timeless

None of us knew in 1991 but this was the pinnacle of a rock show, everything at the time seemed to be moving forward, life slipped by and without anybody noticing the West had reached its peak in everything!

Chris Slade on drums is just what ACDC needs for these big shows, the power he brings to the songs, like he pushes these guys hard man! What a show!!! Heatseeker among others is a perfect example! Rock on good people!

I recall AC/DC playing in a small supermarket in Melbourne, Australia in September 1975 promoting their first album, Amazing when I look now and see what they became...The greatest rock'n'roll band in history!
